Los Angeles Landmark Ride

DESCRIPTION

Los Angeles Landmark Ride is “The Official Bike Ride at Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon.”

On the morning of March 18, 2018, cyclists will start at 5:00 am in downtown Los Angeles and ride 26 miles on the marathon course, hours before the runners start. It’s a ride and not a race, for cyclists of all abilities. A lead vehicle will maintain a maximum pace of 20 mph in order to maintain a comfortable and fun ride for all.

It will begin in front of Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Broad Museum, and cyclists will ride through LA’s historic neighborhoods --- past countless iconic landmarks on the car-free marathon course. Along the way, they'll pass Echo Park Lane, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the historic theatres of Hollywood, continuing down the Sunset Strip and onto the Santa Monica coast. It’s the ride of a lifetime, a chance to experience a famously auto-centric city cleared of traffic.

Each rider must raise a minimum of $300 for cancer research at City of Hope. 100% of every donation goes directly to City of Hope to fund cancer research. You can create a personalized fundraising page on our crowdrise site to tell your story and take online donations from friends and family. Because the average online donation is more than $50, it takes only a few donations to hit the $300 minimum.

City of Hope is an independent research and treatment center for cancer, diabetes and other life-threatening diseases in Duarte, California, just northeast of Los Angeles, with community clinics throughout Southern California. Founded in 1913, City of Hope is a pioneer in the fields of bone marrow transplantation, diabetes and numerous breakthrough cancer drugs based on technology developed at the institution.
