In the great state of Montana, there is only one place where you can do back to back half marathons (at least within one series).

In the great nation of America, we are the only race series that offers a double half marathon consisting of The Highest Road Marathon on Planet Earth followed by The Second Longest Downhill Road Marathon on Planet Earth.

Now, that's a bucket list double!

The Madison Marathon has an average elevation of about 9,000 feet above sea level. Actually for the Madison Half, the average elevation might just be around 9,200.

The Big Sky Marathon has a net drop of 3,651 feet for the full marathon. For the half marathon, it is a net drop of about 3,400. Still one hell of a downhill.

Oh, and we're right next to Yellowstone National Park. This makes us a superb vacation destination for marathon families.
