The 7th annual Magic City Half Marathon and 5K will be the best one yet!!! With over 2,000 racers in 2016 the City of Birmingham has embraced this classic fall event thanks in part to the most exciting finish in the Southeast with a lap on the warning track before the finish line just behind home plate of Regions Field – home of the 2013 Southern League Champion Birmingham Barons – the 2016 event proved to be a whole new racing experience for the City of Birmingham!

Over the first six years our event weekend has been the fastest growing half marathon in the South! And with perfect running conditions, great swag and tons of excitement on and off the courses, we expect even bigger growth in 2017!

Our events benefit the Ruben Studdard Foundation for the Advancement of Children in the Music Arts.The Magic City Half Marathon Weekend features great swag. post-race craft beer, entertainment and of course a fantastic run in the heart of Birmingham.

The marquee running events include The Magic City Half Marathon and 5K as well as the mile fun run / walk for all ages!All running events will take place in Downtown Birmingham around Regions Field – home of the 2013 Southern League Champion Birmingham Barons.
