Micro:bit Workshop | Atelier sur l’ordinateur Micro:bit

Take part in this hands-on workshop and explore coding fundamentals using Micro:bit — a tiny, handheld programmable computer!

Hour of Code is a global movement celebrated in over 180 countries during the Computer Science Education Week (Dec. 3-9). This initiative’s goal is to promote digital literacy and demystify coding, encouraging people to learn the basics and see themselves in computer science. This event is brought to you in partnership with Kids Code Jeunesse.

Where: Canada Science and Technology Museum 1867 St Laurent Boulevard Ottawa, ON K1G 5A3 When: December 8, 2018 | 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Cost: Included with museum admission.

  • Recommended for participants ages 8 and up. No experience required; all materials are provided.

  • Parents/guardians must remain at the museum for the duration of the workshop. Parents are welcome to attend the session.

  • The museum offers paid on-site parking. Parking revenue helps the museum deliver more educational programming every year.
