DESCRIPTION

Brush up your mountain bike skills and learn from and ride with Alison Powers and ALP Cycles Coaching along with other high-level mountain bike coaches / professional riders who will offer personalized training and skills clinics for you, your friends, and for everyone! Become a more confident bike rider by dialing in your bike handling skills, confidence, and fitness. This clinic is for all riders, all abilities.

Coaching: Come ride with Alison Powers (5 x National Champion, USA Cycling Level 2 coach, grew up in Fraser). Other coaches include: Ann Trombley (2000 Olympian, USA Cycling Level 1 coach), Sarka Ruzickova Swenson (Mountain Bike and skills Coach), and Emma Dunn (BICP Level 1 Mountain Bike Coach, Professional Moto, Enduro, and XC racer).

Registration:

Friday, June 22:

9am-2pm: Day-of registration and packet pick-up at Winter Park Visitor Center

                                      –or– 

12pm-3:30pm: Day-of registration and packet pick-up at Headwaters Center

Saturday, June 23:

7am-9:15am Day-of Registration and packet pick-up at Headwaters Center.

Friday Time:

3:30pm Meet and Greet with pre-ride meeting & coaches corner at Headwaters Center to get placed in your group riding skills

4-6pm: Skills Camp including drills and fun obstacle courses (same as Sat morning, pick 1 or come to both)

  • Learn and practice basic to intermediate mountain bike skills that will help make you a more confident mountain biker. Topics include: body position, vision, cornering, climbing how-to, wheelies and manuals, and confident descending.
  • How to set-up your bike for optimal riding: tire pressure, tire type, bike fit, brake level reach/adjustment, and suspension set up to riders weight and riding style

Saturday Time:

9:15am: Meet and Greet with pre-ride meeting & coaches corner at Headwaters Center to get placed in your group riding skills

9:45am - 12:15pm Ability / agility riders with coaches option

9:45am-11:45pm: Skills Camp including drills and fun obstacle courses (same as Fri afternoon, pick 1 or come to both)

  • Learn and practice basic to intermediate mountain bike skills that will help make you a more confident mountain biker. Topics include: body position, vision, cornering, climbing how-to, wheelies and manuals, and confident descending.

12-2pm: Lunch & beer along with milling about with the stars

1pm Alison Powers talk

2pm get placed in appropriate ability group

2:30pm-5:30pm Ability / agility rides with coaches

Sunday Time:

9-10am Yoga at Cooper Creek Square with instructor
