MuggleNet 20th Anniversary Virtual 20k

2351 Boston Post Rd #205, Guilford, CT 06437, USA

DESCRIPTION

MuggleNet, the #1 Wizarding World Resource Since 1999, is turning twenty! To celebrate our anniversary, we're putting on a virtual running event to support one of our favorite charities: Potterhead Running Club!

A virtual run is one that you can do anywhere you want (treadmill, park, trail, neighborhood, etc.) and any way you want (run, walk, bike, swim, dance, or sashay). If the distance (20k/12.42 miles) is too long for you, break it up any way you want. Do a mile or two each day over as long a period as you want. It's your race...your pace...at your place!

Everyone who registers for the event gets a beautiful platinum 3" Time-Turner-themed finisher's medal with a SPINNING hourglass on a custom dye-sublimated ribbon. You also get a personalized digital bib that you can download, print, and wear for your run or display with your medal. You can pick any bib name and bib number you want. Have fun with it!

But wait, there's more!

If you're going to be in the New York City area on Saturday, October 5, we want you to complete 11.42 miles on your own, and then come and complete the last mile with US!

We're going to meet up on the High Line in New York City on Saturday, October 5 at 11 AM and do the last mile of this event together! Wear your finest HP cosplay/wizard-themed Muggle clothes and meet us right next to the Javits Center on 34th Street between 11th and 12th Avenue at the start of the High Line. Everyone who comes to the live event will get their medal in person along with a FREE "20-year charm" featuring the MuggleNet logos from 1999 and 2019!

All of the proceeds from this event will go to support Potterhead Running Club (PHRC) and their mission to motivate fans to be more physically active while supporting other incredible direct-impact charities. In the last five years, they've inspired thousands of HP fans to log over 12 million miles to live happier, healthier lives. In 2019, they are supporting pancreatic cancer research, fan activism, animal rights, foster families, Alzheimer's patients, anti-poaching, kids with cerebral palsy, and the homeless. So, a portion of your registration for this event will become part of the pool of funds going to support all of these incredible efforts. Learn more at https://potterheadrunning.org

Registration closes at midnight on October 6 (or early morning on the 7th depending on your time zone).
