Notice of Race

A sanctioned Hobie points regatta benefiting MySail Youth Programs.

We’re baaack!  Come on out for good breeze, flat water, great camping, and a signature ahi tuna potluck!!  All proceeds

 Please bring your own water bottle for the boat – we’ll have bulk water available for filling/refills. Let’s avoid single-use plastic bottles. And bring money to donate to MY SAIL!!

 Organizing Authority: Fleet 95 of Division 4 of the Hobie Class Association of North America.

1.0 Rules:

    • The regatta will be governed by the 2017-2020 Racing Rules of Sailing as well as relevant class rules

2.0 Eligibility & Entry:

  • The regatta is open to class legal Hobie Wave, 14, 16, 17, 18, F18 (Tiger & Wildcat) and 20 Five entries constitute a one-design class. One sailor on each boat must be a current HCA-NA member.

3.0  Sailing Instructions: Available at registration.

4.0  Venue: Grays Harbor, Washington.

5.0  Insurance:

Each participating boat shall have current 3rd party liability insurance with a minimum coverage of not

less than $100,000.

6.0  Lodging: Camping is available at Quinault Marina & RV Park.  To avoid being sold out, make your reservation on April 1 @ 8 a.m.  360-289-4789  Motels and BnB’s available in town.

7.0  Entry fees:

$60 double-handed

$50 single handed

$35 youth team

$5 discount for US Sailing members (Code: USSailing)

$5 discount for Fleet 95 members (Code: Fleet95)

100% of net proceeds will be donated to Multihull Youth SAIL Foundation (MY SAIL).  $10 has been added to each registration for this purpose.

1015 - Skipper’s Meeting

1100 - First Warning

1800 (approx.) – Potluck dinner, quiz night

 

Sunday, August 27

1000 - First warning

1500 - Last start time limit

1700 pm – Prize giving

Hobie Division 4 Code of Conduct Pledge

As members of the Hobie Family, enjoying the “Hobie Way of Life” together, we shall pledge to watch over and protect each other. We shall all strive to set examples of good conduct and sportsmanship and treat each other with respect and dignity. Adult participants shall take responsibility for the wellbeing of all youth at our events. It may be possible adult beverages (aka controlled substances) may be present at some of our events. Underage youth shall not acquire or consume any adult beverages or controlled substances at these events. All adults shall assure that no adult beverages or controlled substances are provided to, acquired by, or consumed by, underage youth at these events to the extent possible. We shall all aim for a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. And we shall all Have a Hobie Day!
