ALL WELCOME

Cacao is a sacred plant medicine that opens the heart, lifts our mood, releases stress, and is known for deepening spiritual connection. Used in ceremony and ritual for thousands of years, cacao invites self-love, emotional expression, creativity, and blissful energy.

Cacao can help us slow down, and bring our awareness down from the mind and into our feeling body so we can release what no longer serves. Together in a safe, non-judgmental space, we’ll share ceremonial cacao, soulful conversations, collective movement, and sisterhood. You’ll leave feeling connected, rested, spacious, and true to the powerful, magical, and mystical Woman you are.

 What to Expect

Together in circle, we will co-create a sacred space to call in Mama Cacao and accept her offerings to each of us with reverence in body, mind, and spirit. Every aspect of this gathering will be an invitation, and you will be encouraged to listen to your own wisdom through every step.

The gathering will begin with a prayer of gratitude to cacao, and the lands, families, and farms that brought the medicine to us, followed by a gentle meditation to bring us into our bodies and senses.  We will collectively and individually connect with cacao, and set a quiet intention before taking our first sip together.

As we continue to consume cacao, we will each be invited to allow our hearts and voices to share in circle. As the medicine works through us, we will be invited to express through collective movement with the backdrop of a lovingly curated playlist, using conscious breath and inner awareness to fully arrive in our body. Movement will be gentle and free-flowing, and accessible to all with no experience necessary. The circle will conclude with reflections and witnessing, and lite snacks. This will be a non-judgmental, safe space for our vulnerability. Come whole and come as you are.

Preparation and Considerations

Please bring your favorite special mug for cacao and a bottle of water. Dress cozy and wear layers. You are welcome to bring any pillows or blankets that comfort you.

Please avoid caffeine for about 6 hours before and eat lightly.

Be prepared to listen to and honor your body. Remember, consuming cacao is an invitation, and not at all a requirement. Energetically, all will be connected. You are welcome to sip slowly and sip small, especially if you are just starting your relationship with Mama Cacao, or if you have certain health conditions or are taking certain medications. If you have severe heart, liver, or kidney conditions, please feel empowered to discuss cacao consumption with your doctor. If you are taking high doses of MAOIs or SSRIs, exercise caution as a full ceremonial dose may cause headaches or other complications. Because cacao acts as a vasodilator, those taking any medications for blood pressure may also want to start with a lower dose.

Participants will receive a detailed guide for ceremony preparation upon registration via email.

Sliding Scale Pricing Model

Exchange for this workshop is based on the Green Bottle Sliding Scale Method. Developed by community healing practitioner Alexis J. Cunningfolk, the Green Bottle Method is a tool for economic justice that represents the idea that financial resources should not be the only determining factor in access to services. The model allows participants to select their pricing tier based on their current financial situation.

There is a limited number of tickets per category. Please be mindful that if you purchase a price at the lowest end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the higher ticket prices, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility. Being honest with yourself and your financial situation when engaging with sliding scale practices grows strong and sustainable communities.
