Why this run is so important:

Ovarian cancer is the deadliest of all gynecologic cancers. Less than 50% of women diagnosed live beyond 5 years. Each year an estimated 22,000 U.S. women will be diagnosed with ovarian cancer and 14,000 die from it. One in 77 American women will develop ovarian cancer in their lifetime and women who are breast cancer survivors are at higher risk of this deadly disease.
