2nd ANNUAL - SAN DIEGO PROJECT HEART BEAT - 5K RUN/WALK

For the 2nd year in a row, we are lacing up our sneakers and putting our run/walk team together to compete in the Everywon San Diego 5k to make a difference between life and death for a member of our community, which may even be your loved one. Please join us!

Last year our team raised over $7,000 and our goal this year is to raise at least $15,000! To do that, we need your help!

By joining our team and fundraising for our organization, you will directly help save lives through early defibrillation.

ABOUT SAN DIEGO PROJECT HEART BEAT:

San Diego Project Heart Beat (SDPHB), San Diego County’s Public Access Defibrillation Program, has one main goal: “to save lives through early defibrillation.”

To reach that goal, our objective is to make automatic external defibrillators (AED’s) as accessible as fire extinguishers throughout the region.

AEDs are a most vital link in the chain of survival for victims of Cardiac Arrest. Cardiac Arrest is still the leading cause of death in the US and in our county. It is not easy for some of our most needy organizations to obtain AEDs, due to a lack of funding. SDPHB offers financial assistance to non-profit organizations through a grant assistance fund that has been established solely for the purchase of AED’s.

By joining our San Diego Project Heart Beat Team, you can help make the difference between life and death for a member of the community, which may even be your loved one. AEDs bring the necessary therapy to the side of the Cardiac Arrest victim in need, in the timely manner in which that therapy is needed, within minutes.
