Sports Business Summit San Diego

What is SBI?

The Sports Business Initiative (SBI) is a student organization within the Fowler College of Business Administration at San Diego State University for those interested in pursuing a career in the sports industry. We provide an opportunity for students to learn about the many career possibilities in sports, by interacting with guest speakers and peers, as well as being connected to opportunities off campus.

Our Annual Sports Business Summit

- Event Overview: Introduction to jobs/career paths within the sports industry, all-star panel, networking breaks, keynote, opportunity drawing, and Each ticket includes admission to the Padres game at 5:40pm vs the Giants. Networking portion is estimated to end around 4pm. More itiniary information will be added, and posted. 

- Attire: Business Professional

- Check-In/Badge Pick-Up: Before event by Padres front office. Have confirmation email up on phone ready to be scanned.

The Sports Business Initiative is excited to host an opportunity drawing with prizes donated by our speakers, guests, and partner companies. All proceeds raised from raffle tickets will be donated to a non-profit organization called the Challenge Athletes Foundation that provides support to people with physical challenges so they can pursue active lifestyles through physical fitness and competitive athletics. Be sure to purchase as many raffle tickets as you want at the check-out page. Below is a brief item list of prizes from last year's summit that will be similar to this year's summit. 

- Kanas City Chiefs Autographed Signed Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Justin Houston Mini-Helmets.

- 2-3 different San Diego Padres Packages (Includes a player jersey, game tickets, baseballs, and player cards) 

- Shaper Studios Swag Basket (Merch, water bottle, etc)

- Two Free Tickets to the 2020 Farmer’s Insurance Open Golf Tournment
