Senior Bowl Charity Run - 10K, 5K, and 1 Mile Fun Run

DESCRIPTION

Benefits:

All runners will help the Senior Bowl achieve its goal of raising funds for youth throughout our region.

Races:

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama Senior Bowl Charity Run includes 10K and 5K races and a 1-Mile Fun Run. The certified 10K and 5K courses are flat and fast with few turns. The Fun Run is approximately 1 Mile.

Post Race Celebration:

Post race activities will include food, beverages, awards, and music. Participants should wear their run numbers at all times - they will serve as the tickets to the post race celebration.

Runner perks:

Each registered participant will receive a race shirt and entry in to the post race celebration.

Location:

All of the running/walking events will start on Government Street and finish on Royal Street at Mardi Gras Park.

Race Headquarters:

The Senior Bowl office located at 151 Dauphin Street is the race headquarters and will be the site of early packet pick-up and race registration.

Schedule of Events:

Thursday, October 31

11:00 AM-5:00 PM - Race Headquarters Open Runner Registration and Packet Pick-Up begins

Friday, NOVEMBER 1

9:00 AM-5:00 PM - Race Headquarters Open Runner Registration and Packet Pick-Up resumes

Saturday, November 2

6:00 AM-8:00 AM - Packet pick-up and late registration opens at Mardi Gras Park.

8:00 AM - START: 5K Race Government at Government Plaza

8:10 AM - START: 10K Race Government at Royal Street

9:30 AM - START: 1-MILE Fun Run Government at St. Emanuel Street

Awards:

10K and 5K awards will be presented to the top three male and female Overall, Masters, Grand Masters, and Race Walk finishers and to the top male and female Wheelchair finishers during the Family Fun Festival. Awards to the top three male and female finishers in age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, and 80+ will be available for pick-up at the post race celebration.
