The Subaru Elephant Rock Cycling Festival is the official start to the Colorado cycling season. You will not want to miss the excitement and camaraderie of the 31st annual pilgrimage to Castle Rock for the region’s premier cycling festival, a Rocky Mountain tradition.

Whether you are six or sixty, prefer to ride on the road or the dirt, there is a course for everyone. All rides start and finish at The Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock. Whichever course you choose, you’re sure to have a Erockin’ good time. Choose from the 100, 62, 40, 27 Gravel, or 8 Mile Family Fun Ride. Please note that age restrictions / policies apply on various rides.

Tagalong bike trailers and burley style trailers are NOT permitted on the 100 and 62 mile courses.

What will you receive?

Each participant will receive the following:

• Refreshments and support throughout each of the rides • Ticket to the post-ride picnic • 2018 Subaru Elephant Rock T-shirt • Virtual bag of goodies from our many sponsors • Chance to win dozens of valuable prizes • Bike Number and Wristband (see below)

All merchandise items ordered will ONLY be available for you to pick up at the registration area on Saturday and Sunday morning. Come Sunday afternoon all pre-ordered merchandise will be moved to a tent next to the main expo stage.

A limited quantity of commemorative items are available – so order early!

SATURDAY, JUNE 2 - The Colorado Bike Expo @ ERock & Packet Pick-Up

As a rider or spectator, we invite you to explore the active expo area where you’ll learn more about the sport of cycling from industry leaders such as Specialized, Shimano, Primal, Rudy Project, Clif Bar and Feedback Sports, to name a few. Enjoy BMX flatland and aerial stunts, a kid zone, adult big wheel races, learn to ride clinics, strider course, demo area and so much more! and incredible programming. The expo will also include live entertainment, a beer garden, and food! Fun for all ages - come one - come all.

*Rider credentials may be picked up between 12 p.m. and 8 p.m. while enjoying the expo and festivities.

SUNDAY, JUNE 3 - Ride Day and Party at the ROCK

Wheels down! All rides will commence and be followed with the second day of the Colorado Bike Expo and Party at the ROCK. Kickback and relax after a rewarding day in the saddle and enjoy a catered lunch, beer garden, live entertainment and prize drawings!

Course Info:

The Subaru Elephant Rock road courses have developed a reputation for being both scenic and challenging. The five courses offer fantastic variety. They include a 100, 62, 40-mile road course, 27-mile gravel course, and the perfect family ride with our 8-mile course. Helmets are required for all rides. Please ride safely, lawfully and considerately! All cyclists are required to follow all traffic law and regulations. ALWAYS RIDE SINGLE FILE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD, EXCEPT TO PASS. The Police have authority to issue tickets, so please be attentive to state and local laws. For the 100, 62 courses you must be 15 years of age or older. Tagalong bike trailers and burley style trailers are NOT permitted on the 100, 62, mile courses, but are OK to use on the 40, 27, and 8-mile courses. The Subaru Elephant Rock will enforce a cap on each individual course rather than an overall participant cap. Registrations will not be accepted once the caps are met. Please register early!

Ride Start Times:

The following start times are recommended for each course. Remember this is NOT a race, but rather just a great day for a ride. Please note that all start times are recommended, however, based on when aid stations are open and when support is available on the course, you may leave anytime during these windows:

5:30 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. / 100-Mile

6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. / 62-Mile

8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. / 40-Mile and 27-Mile Gravel

9:00 a.m. Mass Start / 8-Mile Family Fun Ride
