The new Thanksgiving Day Tradition on the Northshore

The Inaugural Tammany Turkey Trot is like a highlight reel of the areas that make Covington & St. Tammany such a great place to live.

Ready to experience the history of downtown Covington, or show it off to your visiting family and friends? Here's your chance!

Athletes will start their Thanksgiving run with the St. Tammany Courthouse as their backdrop just north of downtown Covington.

From there both 5K and 5-mile runners will make their way through downtown and into the splendor of moss-covered trees that line the streets.

From there, it's a return trip for home! 5 Mile runners will finish their Turkey "tour" with a scenic jaunt further south past more beautiful homes before rejoining with the 5K course and heading north.

Gobble Jog Start 8:00 a.m. N. Jefferson Ave between the St. Tammany Justice Complex & Parking structure

Tammany Turkey Trot 5K & 5 Miler Start 8:30 a.m. Northshore Food Bank

Award ceremony for overall awards 9:30 a.m.
