On Saturday, May 3^rd, The Chicago Firehouse Restaurant will host the Derby Day Party from 3pm-7pm in The Blue Room, South Loop’s famous drinking den. For $125 a ticket, guests can indulge in drinks including a Welcome Michter’s Bourbon Mint Julep, Derby Whiskey Punch, and refreshing Sweet Mint Sun Tea and Ginger Lemonade. The Derby Buffet includes savory and sweet delectables, from Kentucky Derby Burgoo with beef, chicken, pork, butter beans, okra, corn, and potatoes, and Benedictine Canapes, with cucumber, dill and cream cheese dip, and Belgian Endive. Dessert is complete with Derby Pies, with pecan, chocolate, and Mason Jar Banana Pudding with Vanilla Water.
