Why Morii?

Have you ever been a part of a moment that you hoped would never end? Every split second gave you tingles and you wanted to bottle it up and wear it close to your heart so the memory would never fade? That is Morii. It’s the desire to capture a fleeting moment. To hold on tight so it never wanes. To quick, take a photo, make it last forever.

We as photographers are blessed with the opportunity to capture these fleeting moments for our clients. So capture them we will. The baby toes, the tender kisses, the belly laughs and the sunset twirls. The way her gaze captivates, the way his heart beats wildly, the giggles, the tickles, the never-let-you-go snuggles. 

To honestly tell their story. To create an experience for our clients using the art of storytelling through light, styling and genuine connection. To create images that are deeper in meaning and more connected. 

So slow down a bit and become more aware of the moments to which you pay witness. Become more connected with the people you photograph + more intentional in your work.

This workshop is meant to empower you, to help you speak up and speak out + start delivering galleries that will tug at your client’s heartstrings.

Because Morii defines their work! Because between the two of them they have more than 13 years experience focusing on all things family + newborn and obsessing over the little things. Because they have passion + drive + can’t wait to take you along on the ride! They’re two people who want to see you succeed! They want your business to thrive + they want to help you grow into the photographer you’re meant to be! And because they’re both open books! They have SO much knowledge and while they do things differently, both achieve emotive + dynamic galleries for their clients!

There are only 10 spots available for this workshop because it is meant to be intimate and a true growing experience for each attendee. Each participant will be treated to dinner, a swag bag of goodies, a two hour Q+A, 90 minutes of shoot time with a model family + drinks the shoot where we can keep the conversation going as long as you want!

What We’ll Cover

• How to prepare your family for their session - We’ll cover our communication with clients from initial booking through delivery of their gallery + ways we help our clients get even more excited for their session! We’ll walk you through how we approach our typical sessions and ways to improve your client communication!
• Styling - We’ll be discussing all things styling! From wardrobe guides to client closets to leveled up everyday looks!
• Prompts - We’ll both be sharing some of our favorite prompts we use during shooting and SO much more!!
• Full Session Shooting Spree - That golden backlight can be a tad tricky so we’ll walk you through angles, settings + troubleshooting during our sunset session shoot out! Each student will get the chance to shoot as much as they want during our 90 minutes with a model family at sunset!
• Drone Photography - We’ll touch on drone photography, how to make interesting drone portrait and creative use of the drone!

 
What You’ll Need

• Must be able to shoot in manual + have a strong understanding of light. 
• Some lifestyle family experience would be great but not necessary.
• Come with an open mind and heart and ready to advance your ability to capture authenticity!
