Transitions EAAT Obstacle Run

Mobile, AL

Transitions EAAT Obstacle Run

DESCRIPTION

The run will take place at Mobile Equestrian Center in West Mobile. The distance is approx. 5K and incorporates jumps, obstacles, mud with a lovely run by the woods.

Transitions EAAT is hosting this obstacle run to raise funds for our program. EAAT stands for Equine Assisted Activities and Therapy. We use horses to help children and adults with special needs to develop strength, balance, improve muscle tone, focus, practice social skills and build self-esteem.

Riding a horse is a way people with special needs can participate in a sport when so often they have had to sit on the sidelines and watch. Our lessons are given in groups so individuals can interact socially while learning to ride a horse.

Many of the families that would benefit from these activities are already overburdened with costs for care and need help to afford this program. We don't want to turn anyone away. In order to keep costs low, we do fundraisers and take donations so we can provide these services. Transitions EAAT is a service of 99 for 1 Ministries, Inc., a 501(c)3 non-profit.
