Online registration is now closed, but you can still trick or trot as event day registration stats at 8 a.m.

Please join us for the Trick or Trot 5K Run/Walk to be held Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Carpenter Park and Recreation Center. Celebrate the spirit of the season with this unique event that is part of the annual Trunk or Treat celebration. Event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and ability levels. A special long sleeve tech shirt, professional chip timing and post race refreshments will make this a memorable event.

*We want to see ghosts, goblins and Halloween tutus...or whatever your costume of choice is this year!!!

Entry Fees: Early online registration (July 1-31):

  • $20 for ages 17 & under (age on race day)
  • $25 for ages 18-59
  • $20 for ages 60 & older *Fee will increase $5 after July 31.

Walk-in Registration (September 4 - October 17)

  • $25 for ages 17 & under (age on race day)
  • $30 for ages 18-59
  • $25 for ages 60 & older

Day of race registration (7:30-8:45 a.m. October 20):

  • $30 for ages 17 & under
  • $35 for ages 18-59
  • $30 for ages 60 & older

*Online registrants may pick up their race bibs and t-shirts at the Carpenter Recreation Center on Friday, October 19, 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. or at the race start on Saturday. There is no phone in registration. Cut-off for walk-in and internet registrations is Wednesday, October 17.

Race Day Timeline:

8 a.m. – Race-Day Registration & Packet Pick-up 9 a.m. - 5K Start, Runners & Walkers 10:15 a.m. - Scores Tabulated/Posted, Prize Drawing 10:30 a.m. - Awards Presentation

Age Divisions: First through third place awards are given to male and female runners in the following age categories (age on race day):10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Additionally, overall fastest male and female runners receive special awards. Top five female and male racewalkers will receive awards as well. Award winners must be present at the ceremony following the race (or designate someone to pick up your award for you). We will not mail awards to winners!

Trunk or Treat: Please join us later in the day from 6-9PM for this unique celebration at Carpenter Park (108th and Colorado Boulevard). Community members and businesses compete in several categories for best decorated trunks and costumes while handing out candy to young trunk or treaters. The Garden of the Ghouls is haunted by zombies, insane asylum patients, freak show entertainers and more! Boo Bayou offers a unique opportunity for younger participants to get their pictures taken with Disney Princesses and Super Hero Characters!
