WERUNPOMONA and Day One are hosting the 1st EVER Pomona 5K Run/Walk through the Historic Downtown Pomona!

WERUNPOMONA is comprised of dedicated individuals who run to promote health, safety, and to motivate others to run and engage in wellness activities such as running. #WERUNPOMONA members also value community service, and accomplish this through their community partnerships.

Day One has a thirty year history of engaging and empowering youth from disenfranchised sectors of the community to advocatefor change. Our hope is that our mission to create healthier communities and encourage young people to adopt healthy behaviors will inspire all members of the community to do so also.

Aztlan Athletics partners with #WERUNPOMONA to expand the various wellness campaigns for youth throughout the Southern California region through it’s innovative event managements services model.

Event Location: The route will cover parts of Historic Downtown Pomona area. Course is flat and fast for those who are interested in a personal best time.

Race Start Time: 8:00am | Awards start at 9:30am

Registration Includes: Goodie bag, commemorative T-shirt, Finisher Die Cast Medal, and access to post-race community celebration.

Course Details: Loop around Downtown Pomona. Flat tree lined public streets that take runners through the city’s historical areas. Flat all paved road managed by city police and Aztlan Events experienced course managers. Views of the foothills and finish in the main city courtyard with festivities.

Starting Line Rules: Pets on a leash only and must start with their owners on the back of the line, with the strollers and parents. Slower runners/joggers start just behind the front group, which consist of 5-7 minute per mile runners. Look-out for young children who start with a sprint. Please make your way to the start at approximately 8:00 A.M.

Results booth will be near the late registration area. Finisher medals to ALL participants who finish the run/walk. Awards to top three in each division.
