In light of ongoing global events, the Western Risk & Insurance Association (WRIA) is hosting a virtual conference on March 4-5, 2021. This virtual conference will highlight Ph.D. student research and pedagogical work.

Please note that this year’s meeting will feature a revised and pared down schedule. We expect to accommodate our presentations, a short business meeting, and a happy hour (unlimited tickets this year!) within a couple of hours each of the two days. We understand that online meeting fatigue is real, and we wish to be cognizant of everyone’s time but also give an outlet for Ph.D. students and pedagogical work consistent with WRIA’s mission.

Finally, though there will be no registration fee for the meeting, members are encouraged to renew their WRIA membership and register for the meeting (see attached form for both). We also encourage members to consider institutional sponsorships to help maintain WRIA’s financial position.

When registering, you will have an option to add the print edition of the Journal of Insurance Issues for $20 (additional postage fees will be added for Canadian and international subscribers). All published articles can be accessed through JSTOR, either through your institution or via individual subscription. Online access to the JII is included in your annual dues.
