Step into the living apothecary of Skydog Farm, where so-called weeds reveal themselves as wise, time-honored herbal allies. Each month, we gather in sacred rhythm with the seasons for What’s Up in the Garden, a live demonstration series rooted in folk tradition, sensory connection, and regenerative wisdom.
Led by Katherine Fotiades—founder of Rewild Your Sanctuary and co-founder of Skydog Farm—this series focuses on making tinctures and simple herbal remedies using fresh herbs growing in our own backyards. Whether you're just beginning your herbal journey or deepening your path, these sessions are meant to inspire you to start your own home apothecary using accessible, economical kitchen methods.
Each session is a sensory-rich, heart-centered demonstration where you’ll:
Each month we focus on a different in-season herbal ally—from Tulsi and Lemon Balm to Plantain, Elderberry, and beyond. Many of these plants are likely already growing near you, waiting to be noticed and remembered.
You'll witness the remedy come to life through a guided, garden-based demonstration—rich in sensory connection and practical knowledge. You'll leave inspired, equipped with a take-home recipe, and ready to begin (or deepen) your own herbal practice at home.
