Please join us for the annual WinterFest 5K Run/Walk presented by Brothers Plumbing, Heating and Electric, to be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Carpenter Park and Recreation Center.
Celebrate the spirit of the season with this unique event that is part of the magic of WinterFest, a three day festival of music, crafts, skating, food, ice carving and the arrival of the big guy himself to Santa’s Village!
The 5K event is open to runners and walkers of all ages and ability levels. A special long sleeve tech shirt (guaranteed to the first 200), picture with Santa, professional chip timing and post-race refreshments will make this a memorable event.
Start/finish Line is at Carpenter Recreation Center Parking Lot, 110th and CO blvd and the route will be in the confines of Carpenter Park.
Race Day Timeline:
8 a.m. – Race-Day Registration & Packet Pick-up 9 a.m. - 5K Start 10:15 a.m. - Scores Tabulated/Posted, Prize Drawing 10:30 a.m. - Awards Presentation
Awards: First through third place awards are given to male and female runners in the following age categories (age on race day):10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Additionally, the overall fastest male and female runners receive special awards. Award winners must be present at the ceremony following the race (or designate someone to pick up your award for you). We will not mail awards to winners!

Well Behaved Dogs on leashes as well as strollers are permitted.
Enjoy Winterfest activities all weekend long... Please join us for this unique celebration on December 13-15 at Carpenter Park (108th and Colorado Boulevard). On Friday, Santa arrives to light the village at 6:30 p.m. followed by choirs, ice sculpting, skating on our artificial pond and more! Saturday is highlighted by a craft fair (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.), concert by the Thornton Community Band (7:00- 8:30 p.m.) and special fireworks show (8:30 p.m.). On Sunday (5:00-9:00 p.m.) Santa’s Village opens one last time for skating, choirs and photos with Santa.
