During registration you can select to become a VIP athlete for $40. Benefits include: Race day Packet Pick-up, Pre-race food, VIP Tent & bathroom access. Extra wristbands available to purchase for family/friends.
You must be a member of USA Triathlon (USAT) to compete in the race, including each relay member. If you do not have an annual membership, you must purchase a one-day membership for $15 during the registration process.
The race is a USAT sanctioned race so USAT rules are in effect and USAT officials will oversee the race course.
You must be 17 years old or older to participate in the TOUGHMAN race as an individual (or 15 years old in a relay team).
Wed before the race: 11:00- 6:00pm (NYC)
Sat before race day: 1:30-6:00pm
You must bring photo proof of identity and your USAT card if you have one. YOU CANNOT SEND SOMEONE ELSE TO PICK UP FOR YOU! Participants who transfer or sell their race number without going through the race management, will not be allowed to race, lose all entry fees as well as be subject to disciplinary action by USAT.
You can check your bike in (if you want) on Saturday between 2-7pm.
Transfer/Refund PolicyThere are no refunds. Events.com offers race insurance during your registration for an additional fee.Transfers can be requested up until July 31, but we do not handle the money exchange - that is between you and your buyer. Email: email@example.com to request a transfer.Athletes that are unable to race or transfer may receive a full deferral to the following year if they fulfill 6 hours volunteering for the race. Earning a full deferral for a entry means the entire entry fee will be credited towards the athlete's next years entry. This cannot be carried over to future years.
You must be able to complete the events within the following cut off times to avoid being pulled from the course for safety reasons:Swim: 1 hour and 10 minutesSwim/Bike: 5 hoursSwim/Bike/Run: 8 hours
