A Bite of New York

Encore Community Services, a non-profit organization that serves thousands of nourishing meals to New York City's aging population, will host its inaugural A Bite of New York event on June 12th at Glasshouse Chelsea from 6 to 9 p.m. The cocktail party will feature small plates from New York City’s most iconic restaurants.

Encore serves over 1,000 hot meals at our older adult centers each week and delivers over 750,000 meals annually to homebound older adults. Since 2020, our culinary initiatives have provided over 4.2 million meals to older New Yorkers facing food insecurity.
