Bavarian Easter Egg Hunt

Hop into Frankenmuth for the Bavarian Easter Egg Hunt taking place Saturday, April 3! Enjoy an outdoor and social-distanced egg hunt with two age categories and a special event just for dogs at Frankenmuth River Place Shops in the heart of Michigan’s Little Bavaria.

Registration is limited to 200 children and costs $10 to participate. Each registration will include a bag with a special surprise and a mini golf pass good for one child at the Bavarian Inn Lodge’s Family Fun Center, located just a minute’s walk from River Place Shops. After the egg hunt is over, participants can return their emptied Easter eggs and receive a $5 game card for use at the Bavarian Inn Lodge's Family Fun Center!

The egg hunt will be divided into two separate age categories – children ages 0 to 5 years old with the egg hunt taking place in the Fest Platz area and children 6 to 10, taking place throughout the shopping complex, with a limit of 10 eggs per child. The registration form requires each parent signing up their child to confirm the age to ensure the proper amount of eggs is placed ahead of the egg hunt.

Eggs are filled with a combination of candy, arcade tokens from the River Place Game Room in the Cass River Bar and Grill, and special prizes that can be redeemed at participating retailers.

Registration for the doggie egg hunt is limited to 100 dogs and costs $10 to participate. Each registration will include a bag with a special treat and surprise offer from Hello Cats and Dogs, located within River Place Shops. The doggie egg hunt will take place throughout the shopping complex, with a limit of 5 eggs per dog that will have small treats inside.

All participants must register in advance through Events.com for the Bavarian Easter Egg Hunt!

Make sure to stop by the Fest Platz for free family entertainment during the afternoon of April 3 and to visit with the Easter Bunny atop his Springtime Throne in the stage area from 3 to 5 p.m.

Schedule of Events:

1 PM: Registration check-in opens in the Fest Platz area – look for the blue River Place Shops tent! Bring your phone or print the QR code for contact-less registration to receive the egg hunt bags.

2 PM: Egg hunt for children ages 0 to 5 starts in the Fest Platz area

2:30 PM: Egg hunt for children ages 6 to 10 starts throughout the shopping complex

4 PM: Doggie egg hunt starts throughout the shopping complex

5 PM: Registration check-in closes; eggs must be returned before this time for participants to receive their $5 game card!

This activity will take place rain or shine; there are no refunds for registration.

River Place Shops requires all guests to wear a mask to enter any enclosed spaces at the shopping complex or throughout Frankenmuth. We encourage all participants to social distance themselves from others outside of their household and stay home if they are sick or experiencing any symptoms related to the coronavirus.

Hand sanitizer stations are available throughout the complex, along with both indoor and outdoor bathrooms.
