Although there will be no commemoration for the 76th Anniversary of D-Day this June in Normandy, the Best Defense Foundation’s commitment to honoring our WWII Veterans remains as strong as ever. We will always remember and never forget the sacrifices and valor exhibited by our armed forces on June 6, 1944.

In partnership with Events.com we are hosting a virtual D-DAY walk on June 6, 2020 to remember the fallen and honor the heroes that changed the course of history. We would like to invite you, your family, and friends to join us as we walk or run 5K to pay tribute to The 76th Anniversary of the Invasion of Normandy.
5K is the distance from Omaha Beach to Pointe Du Hoc.

5K is the suggested distance, feel free to walk or run any distance you feel comfortable. You will be in solidarity with all of us around the world to remember the day that changed history. Please choose some time on June 6th to get it done like the heroes did on June 6th.

"We Walk Alone Together"

0630 was H-Hour, the exact time of the beach invasion. Best Defense Foundation will be streaming live footage from Omaha Beach and Pointe Du Hoc on our social media channels at 0630 PDT.

Start time is up to the individual or group. 630AM was the time of the invasion.  We recommend to find a time to walk  on June 6 according to your local social distancing and curfew laws.

Participants are encouraged to show their patriotism by wearing red, white and blue (USA/France) and to take pictures and have fun. Use this time to educate your kids about what happened on June 6 1944.
