Colorado Chocolate Festival adds Chocolate Spa, S'mores Station

The popular Colorado Chocolate Festival returns to Denver's Crowne Plaza DIA Convention Center May 12 - 13. And if thousands of chocolate samples isn't enough enticement, this year's festival offers some new indulgences - all geared to kick-start Mother's Day Weekend. A new Chocolate Spa is being added to the show floor, featuring chocolate facials, cocoa butter massage, hair styling and more! There's a new S'mores Station, too! New vendors coming in from several states will be part of the mix, along with several Mother's Day Gift booths and a full entertainment roster on the festival stage. It's an annual tradition for many, and last year's move to the Crowne Plaza  at I-70 at Chambers Rd proved to be a real crowd-pleaser.

Festival hours are 4:00 - 9:00 pm Friday, May 12,  and 10:00 - 5:00 Saturday. Activities on the Festival stage include Chocolate Bingo, the Chocolate Crown contest, free chocolate cake for Moms, Andrew Novick's popular Chocolate-covered WHAAAATT?, chocolate tasting with the Chocolate Therapist, and more. Saturday's 2pm highlight is The Mom Game - where Moms answer fun, simple questions about themselves backstage then join their kid onstage to see how many right answers they can get.  Each right answer gets a chocolate treat, and the winning team gets 2 Golden Ticket gift certificates to spend at any booth.

Admission to the Colorado Chocolate Festival is $10.  Kids age 12 and under are admitted free of charge. Taste Tickets allow attendees to sample treats during the festival, and cost just $10/dozen. Taste Tickets also allow the vendors to get paid for the samples, a main reason the festival is so successful at drawing chocolatiers from around the country. 

Dedicated chocolate fans also have the option to purchase VIP Tickets. The $50 VIP option (limited to 450) includes a VIP wristband, early admission, 12 VIP Indulgence Tickets for exclusive samples, 12 regular Taste Tickets, upfront seating at stage events and the ability to skip the entry line and lines at designated VIP vendor booths.
