DESCRIPTION

Join us for a fun and engaging virtual baking class, from the comfort of your own home! Participants will receive a hands-on baking experience, led by a museum employee. This educational activity will equip participants with new culinary skills and — most importantly — a sense of satisfaction for having baked their very own delicious treat.

Each class features a different recipe, which will be prepared from start to finish during the virtual session. The baking classes will be small, making the experience more personal. Participants require access to an oven and basic baking equipment. The class materials (recipe, grocery list, equipment list, and preparation instructions) will be emailed to participants shortly after registration. This will give participants enough time to gather the required materials for the class. Participants will receive a Zoom link to access the class.

Note:
Children ages 13 and under are welcome to participate, but must have an adult’s help/supervision during the Virtual Baking Classes.

Class Description
Rise and shine! Join us for a fun, interactive kitchen session where you’ll learn to make a crowd-pleasing breakfast. During this session, you’ll bake a scrumptious batch of lemon blueberry muffins — made with seasonal blueberries. While the muffins bake, you’ll make a delicious fruit smoothie to go along with the muffins. In addition, you’ll learn about the special ingredient used to flavour the muffins and the smoothie: honey! Get the buzz on this natural sweetener, along with some cool facts about honeybees, their life cycle, and their importance as pollinators.  The recipe, grocery list, and equipment list will be provided to participants following registration.

Class prices:

  • $22 per class for non-members
  • $20 per class for Ingenium members (enter promo code from member eNews during checkout to receive discount)
