Cocktail enthusiasts and industry professionals are invited to this educational and entertaining event to learn about the wonderful Agave plant. Doors open at 9:30 am, and attendees are invited to relax and enjoy our Tasting Tables, where several brands competing in the Top Tequila competition will be offering samples and answering questions.
The Tasting Tables will be serving throughout the day, beginning at 9:30-10am prior to the morning event, during lunch and the cocktail reception from 11:30-12:30, and from 2-2:30pm, post-seminar. Starting at 10am, attendees will enjoy an Agave Seminar presented by El Tesoro, which will include a guided tasting of their product line. Also during the morning event, our esteemed Judges will begin the process of narrowing down the finalists for the Top Tequila competition.
From 11:30am to 12:30pm, attendees are invited to stay and enjoy a complimentary lunch provided by Nacho Mama's and cocktail reception provided by El Tesoro. Tasting tables will also be open.The afternoon event, from 12:30pm to 2pm, will begin with the Judging and Unveiling of the finalists in the Top Tequila competition, with opportunities for 9 lucky attendees to take part as "People’s Choice" Judges. These “People’s Choice” Judges will be paired up with our Top Tequila Judges to guide them through the tasting process. All other attendees are encouraged to follow along with their own tequila flight to discover the nuances of not just drinking and enjoying tequila, but of evaluating it for competition.
Closing out the day will be an education-focused “Farm to Bar” discussion featuring Distillers, Brand Ambassadors, Suppliers, and representatives from the bar, restaurant, and retail sides of the industry. This discussion will be moderated by New Orleans own Bryan Dias, Founder of NOLADrinks and host of the “NOLADrinks Show with Bryan Dias." All will be on hand to discuss tequila and mezcal, changes and challenges in the industry, and answer audience questions. This event is for Tequila aficionados and those that truly want to learn more about the exploding tequila industry.
