EMPOWER presents ‘Green Entrepreneurs’, an event celebrating some of Australia’s leading sustainable businesses. We are privileged to welcome Farmwall's pioneering CEO Geert Hendrix as well as Big Little Brush's brilliant co-founder Joel Hanna. These two remarkable entrepreneurs will share insights into how they turned their environmental conscience into a successful business.
The evening's discussion will revolve around the role the environment plays in modern business as well as the powerful advantages and impact businesses can achieve with sustainability at its core.
‘Big Little Brush’ is an organisation tackling the big issues, one little tooth brush at a time. They create their toothbrushes from wholly sustainable materials like bamboo and nylon, aiming to replace the use of plastic. The profits from each sale goes towards funding health programs in Australia’s indigenous communities. Joel’s story is quite remarkable, in particular the origins of how Big Little Brush came to be as well as his ability to juggle his career in software alongside its rapid growth.
Geert Hendrix is the CEO and founder of Farmwall, an innovative startup aiming to transform cities into natural food producing ecosystems. They do this through building indoor aquaponic vertical farms and integrating them into hospitality, workplaces and schools. Geert’s journey as an entrepreneur combines industry-changing creativity with a strong social conscious, and ultimately a fascinating story to hear.
The event will be held at the magnificent Gary Peer Projects space - 198 Balaclava Road, Caulfield North.
This event would not be possible without the support of the Dina and Ron Goldschlager Family Charitable Foundation, whose generosity we sincerely appreciate.
