Introduction to Plant Medicine: How to Make Healing Salves, Lotion Bars and Poultices

Join us at beautiful Potato Hill Farm in Augusta, Kentucky for this hands-on workshop presented by certified aromatherapist Marie Kelsch.  Enjoy the restored barn and historic farm as you learn to create healing salves, lotion bars and poultices from medicinal plants.  Walk the quaint country road as we point out plants akin to the fall season and forage to harvest, if interested.  (The walk on paved road will be at your descretion, as well as the optional foraging).  

Marie will guide us in identifying plants used for medicinal use, offer them for the opportuity to create a blend of your choice for anxiety, depression, pain, PTSD, or combined to address all of your needs.  Identification of essential oils, and applicaton to your specifics will be provided.  

Take home:  Directions on how to infuse essential oils with medicinal plants, your own salve, lotion or poultice, as related to your personal needs, and a list of sources.  

Light refreshments will be served.  Please come dressed for the weather, bring a water bottle and bag.
