Honor Walk 

76th Commemoration 

As we continue with the lingering effects of the pandemic and are still not able to travel, the Best Defense Foundation’s commitment to honoring our WWII Veterans remains strong. We will always remember and never forget the sacrifices and valor exhibited by our Marines and Navy for 36 days during the Battle of Iwo Jima.

In partnership with Events.com we are hosting an Honor Walk on March 20, 2021 to remember the fallen and honor the heroes of the battle that turned the tide of war in the Pacific in 1945.

We would like to invite you, your family, and friends to join us as we walk together to pay tribute to The 76th Anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima. 

5K is the suggested distance but feel free to walk any distance you decide. You will be walking in solidarity with all of us around the world to remember the day that changed history. Start time is up to the individual or group. We recommend finding a time to walk on March 20 that will best facilitate social distancing.

Participants are encouraged to start a TEAM and get your family and friends together for an organized walk in your area. Pick a TEAM name to honor a family member who served, a military unit, or your city. 

Show your patriotism, take pictures, and have fun! Use this time to educate your children about the events that turned the tide for victory in the pacific for the Allies in 1945.

The Best Defense Foundation will be streaming live from all around the world showing our solidarty in honoring our Veterans and remembering those who fought and served in the Battle of Iwo jima.
