DESCRIPTION

Louisville Pride Foundation's 2019 Coming Out Party

You and a guest are invited to join the Louisville Pride Foundation Board of Directors for an evening of light hors d'ouevres and complimentary cocktails. We are welcoming Mike Slaton as our first Executive Director, and you can hear about our plans for this year's festival and what you can do to help serve the LGBTQ youth of our community.

Guests will also be able to enjoy the current exhibit at 1619 Flux, which showcases work from "Montage," an African-American artist collective formed in Louisville in the 1970's.

The Louisville Pride Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that promotes Louisville as one community that celebrates diversity, fosters inclusion for all and embraces LGBTQ people and allies. The Foundation produces the annual Louisville Pride Festival on Bardstown Road in the Highlands on the third Saturday in September.

Our festival and other work is community supported, and the Louisville Pride Foundation relies on individual donors and local corporate partnerships to keep entrance to the festival complimentary so that everyone may attend. At this event, you will learn more about the benefits of becoming a member of the Louisville Pride Foundation by joining the "Pride 100 Club" with a sustaining gift of at least $10 a month or $100 a year.

Beneficiaries of the 2018 Festival were:

  • Louisville Youth Group Louisville Youth Group empowers youth with the tools to take ownership of their own lives. We create space for youth to heal and develop into the LGBTQIA+ leaders of tomorrow.

  • Sweet Evening Breeze Sweet Evening Breeze (SEB) is committed to Louisville’s LGBT+ youth experiencing homelessness by going beyond the expectations of shelter, hope, and healing.
