DESCRIPTION

UPDATE:

We have had to make a tough decision to cancel this event and reschedule it to another date.  We are truly bummed but the current climate was making it difficult to pull off an event of this magnitude.  Please know that all current ticket holders will be notified via email on the next steps which will include three options.  #1 - Rollover the tickets to 2022 at the same price and level, regardless of possible increases next year, #2 - Apply the ticket credit to another Kilt & Cork Event - The Gold Hill Country Music Festival on September 4th or #3 - Ask for a refund.  We are so sorry we will not see you all, but rest assured, this event will be back in 2022!

Cheers Friends!

The Motherlode Beer & Music Festival Team

The Motherlode Beer & Music Festival reimagines the common beerfest.  Not only will you be tasting the best craft beers from the region, you will be watching the best bands from the region and beyond!  This two day festival combines the best parts of a beerfest with a killer soundtrack!

Featuring 50 of the region's finest breweries, wineries, meaderies and cideries, the Motherlode Beer & Music Festival's primary goal is to support and introduce you to the outstanding craft brews made right here in your own backyard.  Stay tuned for a complete list of wineries, breweries and more!

Friday, August 20 - 6pm - 10pm

Beers: A selection of local breweries will be showcasing their special brews, seasonal brews and other limited production products.  These beers will not be available on Saturday and are limited to the supply on hand!

Wines: A selection of wineries will be showing off why the Sierra Foothills is a world class destination for Rhone and Italian Varietals.

Music: 40 Oz To Freedom - Sublime Tribute band will be headlining with their extraordinary sound making you feel like you are on the beaches of Southern California on a summer night! Hailed as the best Sublime Tribute band in the USA, you'll hear all your favorites while chillen with a cold beer. Opening for 40 Oz to Freedom is local favorites L-daWg Allstars with their chill reggae vibe.

Beer & Wine will be sold by the glass for your enjoyment.

Saturday, August 21 - 2pm - 10pm

Grand Tasting 2pm - 6pm

Beers: Breweries will be showcasing their favorite beers during the Grand Tasting.  You will have beer tokens good for 3 ounce tastings of your favorite beers, or find some new treasures to savor.  The idea is to move away from the constant process of getting a tiny pour, which lasts long enough for you to wait in line for another pour, and so on and so on. There are some great bands for you to dance to while sampling so get your beer and go have fun.  Multiple tokens can be used to get a full 16 ounces of beer or full serving of wine (5 ounces), high alcohol beers (pour varies) and meads (pour varies.)

Mountain Brewery Exhibit: Select breweries will be showcasing beers that would have been served in the late 1800's at this unique beer experience. Step back in time to Placerville's first successful brewery, dating back to the Gold Rush and find out what the men and women of old Dry Diggings would have been quaffing to quench their thirst.

Entertainment: Engage with the characters who called old Dry Diggings their home as the meander around the venue.  Snap selfies at some of the more unique backdrops, or try your hand at throwing an axe at a target.  There is always something fun to do or see!

Music: Saturday is loaded with talent!  Headlining is the one and only Fan Halen - A Tribute to Van Halen.  These guys bring it with the sound of the DLR era of Van Halen, and no detail is missed.  The Cradle Will Rock when these guys hit the stage!  The Spazmatics bring their quirky take on your favorite 80's songs and they are relentless to getting you up and moving, don't spill your beer! The Gold Souls are no strangers to dance with their infectious funk and smooth vocals and opening the day is local favorites, a.k.a. band
