Sacred Sexuality Austin Empowerment Circle - Sex Dreaming: Toltec Astral Body Play
DESCRIPTION
Sex Dreaming is the art of intimately relating to one another through the not-doing of sex to generate energy for heightened luminosity and infinity travel.
What is the not doing of sex?
What is infinity travel?
The ancient Toltec nation settled in what is now Mexico when people from various tribes and lands chose to come together to become Artists of the Spirit. Sex dreaming is one of their sacred practices that survives today.
Join us and learn about this fascinating practice with a focus on:
- Seeing energy
- Changing reality by changing your dream
- Combining water (dreaming) and fire (sex) to make steam, representing our energy double rising.
We’ll have an opportunity to teach and learn from one another in group sharing. You’ll be invited into a guided solo practice, a potent foundational practice of the tradition. And as always, we will open and close with a process of setting and releasing our empowerment circle.
If you are familiar with astral travel or sex dreaming, or if you are just curious, this evening is for you!
A safe container to explore, ask questions, and meet like-minded beings.
We meet on Second Fridays. We remain fully clothed. We mix and mingle for 15 minutes at the beginning and the end.
Please note that if we can we will lock the doors to the building at 7:15pm so our circle can remain uninterrupted afterward. Please be with us and in circle by 7:15pm.

What to Bring
- $10 cash (or pay $15 online when you RSVP) to cover the cost of our space
- something to sit on - mat, cushion, blanket, etc.
- journal and writing instrument
- a sacred object for our altar, if you feel so moved

Your Host
Hi, I'm River! I will be your host at Sacred Sexuality Austin.
This is an opportunity to explore and understand ourselves and others. We provide events, workshops and experiences that guide us in embodying our potential for ecstatic living.
We don't just talk - we want you to experience something new and learn something about yourself each time you join us. We stay fully clothed. For some practices, we might touch one another, only with full consent. You can always opt out of a practice if you choose. We get asked if people have sex in our meet ups - NO. This is not a sex party, not that there is anything wrong with those, it is a safe space to learn more about yourself with cool people.
Asking for what you want. There is no better way of getting exactly what we need than asking for it. We spend a lot of time in this group learning how to ask for what we want. One of the main elements of safety is developing the skill of making a direct request.
Setting your limits. In this group we are always exploring new and interesting things. Some things might make you uncomfortable. Being able to say no to things you don't want is just as important as asking for what you want. This is also a key element to safety. Keep in mind it is not unkind to tell somebody "no."
Do not touch other members without permission. If you do, we will ban you from future events.
Openness. This is a place of complete honesty and non judgment. Please express yourself and your views. With the foundations of safety and discretion, we create a space where we can be free to express and explore any issue without fear of reprisal.
Community. Safety, discretion, openness, punctuality and community are all pillars of the community we are building. We encourage you to be kind and love one another. We love all of you. We look forward to having fun and exploring sacred sexuality with you.
