Utah Premier Country Swing Convention with a Killer Halloween Party.
SAVE THE DATE: October 25th-27th 2024 in Salt Lake City Utah will be hosting SPOOKY SWING a new annual pointed Country Swing Convention
My goal with creating my Utah based dance group and now with Spooky Swing is to provide my local dance community and dancers across the country - of all levels - with a place to learn, grow, and connect on and off the floor… while also providing a way for Country Swing Dancers to showcase their hard work, time and skill-set in a competition that is structured and highlights the technique AND uniqueness of country swing.
Our schedule looks like:
FRIDAY Oct 25th: theme COSTUME PARTY: Country Swing workshops
Halloween Costume Party with discounted tickets for people DRESSING UP and a costume contest at midnight!
SATURDAY Oct 26th: Theme Spooky Swing - wear Neon Green or your SS shirt Country Swing, line dance, follow focus and intro to WCS workshops

SUNDAY Oct 27th: Theme RIP blacked out comfy clothes all day!
Workshops Individual Competition Feedback Video and photo content shoot (casual and free) We are so excited to be hosting the FIRST pointed country swing dance convention and competition that counts for POINTS in the @yesssdanceconvention circuit in Utah!
We will be bringing in competition coordinators who have run more than 1,000 Country swing competitions including hosting 1,000s of competitors at YESSS!!
Dance competitions will include
Country Swing Jack and Jill (aka random partner) Beginner Country Swing Intermediate Country Swing Advanced Country Swing these are the pointed comps
Country Swing Strictly (aka choose your own partner) lower level Country Swing upper level Country Swing
for fun comps with no points Line Dance (aka solo dancing)

Don’t be fooled yall Utah has one of the largest dance communities in the country. With groups of 100s throughout its major cities, Ogden, Provo, and where we’ll be hosting SS, Salt Lake City.
Its central (and drivable) location to many other states with thriving dance communities makes it the perfect spot for an event like this, helping accomplish a person hope and dream of mine… to make Utah a premier spot for country swing dancing!
Spooky Swing will be held in a private dance studio, with three floors, a stunning lobby and bathroom! There will be a hotel room black for near by accommodations, and our favorite part…. this choice allows us to dance ALL NIGHT outside of the bar setting with hundreds of dancers who are focusing on Country Swing all in ONE PLACE.
