The Carlsbad Village Association is bringing you brunch like you have never experienced it before. Enjoy incredible savory and sweet bites, coupled with brunchy drinks like fresh squeezed juices, bubbles, specialty coffees, and more at the 1st annual Taste of Carlsbad Village: Brunch Edition on May 17, 2025 from 11:00am to 2:00pm in Downtown Carlsbad Village.

The event will feature over 20 amazing sampling opportunities with either savory or sweet signature brunch bites, and 14 sip stops offering up Mimosas, Bloody Mary's, Espresso Martini's, bubbles, sparkling wine, still wine, hard kombucha, and canned cocktails. There are plenty of delicious non-alcoholic options including fresh squeezed juices, green drinks, seltzers, and specialty coffee drinks.

How Does It Work?

Taste of Carlsbad Village: Brunch Edition is a self-guided tour of the Carlsbad Village food scene showcasing amazing breakfast eateries and those who specailize in weekend brunch too. Tasters are issued a Passport with a map of all participating businesses where sampling and savoring can take place. 

Starting at 11:00 a.m. attendees will stroll through downtown Carlsbad Village with their official Passport and wristband to sample signature bites and drinks from each of the participating businesses.

The Food

Taste bite-sized, delectable eats from the best of the breakfast scene in Carlsbad Village. Chicken and waffles; breakfast empanadas; Grand Marnier french toast; salmon bites; bisquits and gravy; freshbaked pastries; Acai bowl . . . and the list goes on. There is even a chorizo, egg and cheese breakfast burrito on the menu with a vegan option to boot. You will enjoy an endless variety of noteworthy tastes.

Some of the participating eateries include the Daily News Cafe, Swamis, Dinis, Le Papagayo, Hennesseys, Baba Coffee, Lofty Coffee, Senor Grubby's, and many more. There is an updated list of participating restaurants and beverage providers on the Carlsbad Village Association website.

The Sip Stops

Every ticket is considered an "all-inclusive" ticket that includes all beverages on the route from coffee to fresh juice to Mimosas, and everything in between. Enjoy some of your favorite makers in the beverage space. Sip on a selection of specialty brunch drinks and coffees to complement your brunch bites. Enjoy Fig & Feather, Witch Creek Wine & Coffee, Lofty Coffee, Carruth Cellars, Seaborn Cocktails, and others. A handful of restaurants are also serving up samples of their signature breakfast drinks.

Tickets are $50 per person (includes all food samples and all sip options) as it bundles everything you need for this amazing brunch event, including a reusable keepsake cup and spork.

* Must be 21 years of age to be issued a wristband to enjoy beverages containing alcohol.
