Yukon River Trail Marathon - 2023

We are sold out!   Thank you for your interest in our race. 

If you are on a  relay team but have not yet registered yourself, we have saved a spot for you.  We will contact your captain and provide a registration link that will allow you to register.

As race day draws near, some runners may have to withdraw from the race and may want to sell or transfer their spot.   

Here are two things you can to up your chances of getting a spot this year:

1.  Post on our Facebook that you are looking for a spot, and

2.  Follow us on Facebook to learn of runners who have a spot to sell or transfer. 

If you aren't able to get a spot this year, please keep us in mind in 2024!

Enjoy the natural beauty of Yukon River valley in Whitehorse, Yukon. For much of the course, you will be running along or above the Yukon River or one of a few small pothole lakes. It's a hilly course (see map on our website for elevation gains and losses).

The race begins and ends in Rotary Peace Park. There is 3.5 km paved path at both the beginning and end of the course. The remainder of the course is mostly single-track, unimproved forest paths. There are many roots so care is needed.

We offer four race categories: full marathon, half marathon, relay, and half marathon walk.

The course is divided into four legs, ranging in length from 8 to 13 km. The marathon and relay routes consist of all four legs. The half-marathon consists of legs 1 and 4.

RELAY TEAMS

A relay team can consist of 2, 3, or 4 people. EACH member of a relay team must register themselves. The first person to register a team is designated the team captain. As team captain, your task is to make sure all relay team members use the same team name when they register. The race is capped at 325 participants and sells out quickly so please ensure that all team members register as soon as possible BEFORE registration closes.
