WHAT IS THE VIRTUAL HOT TAMALE 5K: The Virtual Hot Tamale 5K is the ultimate themed race that can be accomplished at any location! You can run outside, walk or use a treadmill while wearing your Hot Tamale swag.

You can run anywhere, anytime by yourself or with a group via Zoom (Be creative with social distancing), just get out or stay-in and have a fun time!

Run For Central America is the official charity partner of the 2020 Hot Tamale 5K! During normal times, Central American struggles with some of the highest rates of hunger and insecurity in the world. Now during lock down, most families can't work and widespread hunger and other challanges are greater than ever. Run to provide food, job opportunities and most of all HOPE!

The Run for Central America team runs on behalf of ENLACE, a Central American community development organization with 25 years of experience mobilizing community leaders to build schools, water systems, health clinics, homes and so much more to provide hope for hard working people living on less than $1 a day. Central America is in a place of extreme challenge, and the Run for Central America team is for anyone who wants to use their influence to make a real difference.

Refunds: Since the Hot Tamale 5K has many upfront costs, we have a strict and uniform policy of no refunds or exchanges, no person-to-person transfer, or no deferrals to a future year. We do understand that plans change, injuries happen, and various holiday festivities and situations arise, but, we feel it is most fair to apply a uniform policy to all, instead of a subjective line of who should receive a refund and who doesn’t.  All purchases and sales are 100% final, no exceptions. Refunds will not be issued based on weather conditions. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
