Meet the Team – Melody Shin

We’re pretty cool people, and we thought you might like to get to know us a bit better. Every few weeks we’ll share another bio as part of our “Meet the Team” series.

So, what would you say you do here?

I am the Director of User Experience and I manage an exceptional and talented design team on taking complex tasks and designing them in a simple and intuitive way. The UX team focuses on user-centered design processes, design innovation, and user research.

What is your favorite part about working at Events.com?

I love the people. It is family here! We work hard and play hard. My UX team is the best, but all teams are just as fantastic! If I wasn’t working here, I wouldn’t be working.

In the spirit of #events, what is your favorite thing to do on the weekend?

I have two favorite things to do on the weekends! Music class in Birdrock Saturday morning is so much fun! Singing, playing instruments, and dancing with my daughter and all her 2 year old friends is so much fun and adorable to watch! My other favorite thing to do is to go to wine events and dinners with my hubby. It is always a great time, no matter if it is just the two of us or with our friends.

If you could witness any event past, present, or future, what would it be?

Wow, tough one. I would have to say a 50s or early 60s movie festival. I love movies and musicals from that era. I would have loved to have met Audrey Hepburn. What a beautiful and kind woman she was!
