1. Location… San Diego!
What other location offers sunny skies in November, celebrates the city’s rich culture, and merges downtown with the sea? “We wanted to create a different kind of festival,” said Paul Thornton, Co-founder of Wonderfront. “One where the destination becomes part of the experience, one where the fan can customize their weekend, and one that integrates the downtown into the fabric of the festival. We are creating a ‘Fall Break’ celebration like none other.”
2. Music for Every Taste
95+ artists, 7+ stages, 1 epic weekend. You get it all: Rock, Indie Rock, Hip Hop, Rap, EDM, Alternative, Reggae and Latin artists. Wonderfront Festival will showcase the hottest emerging artists, beloved stars, and some local favorites. The musical lineup includes over 95 artists (and growing), including Miguel, Slightly Stoopid, Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, MGMT, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Nicky Jam, Don Omar, Vince Staples, Tyga, Tucanes de Tijuana, Walk the Moon, X Ambassadors, Michael Franti, and many more.
3. The Best Food & Drinks
Wonderfront will feature some of San Diego’s best in food & drinks. And of course, since San Diego is the Craft Beer Capital, the festival will have a giant local craft beer village. In addition to a stacked lineup, the festival will also include many experiences that celebrate a sense of discovery and fun, including music, arts, craft beer tasting, culinary experiences, and participatory activations.
4. Yacht Parties & Cruises
With the festival grounds right on the waterfront, of course Wonderfront has to take the party on the water. Ships are turned into oyster bars and yacht parties. Move between the stages on our 400 person water taxi, complete with bars and performers. Jump on a sunset cruise and enjoy the view.
5. Perfect Weather
While the rest of the country is freezing this November, San Diego average temps are in the 70s and sunny. Wonderfront is so much more than just great live music. It’s a celebration of San Diego’s arts, culture and beach lifestyle. So be ready for the fun and bring your beachwear. Come play! Hit the water activities, rent boards and kayaks, take a jet boat ride, go for a surf, or play soccer, volleyball, spikeball, corn hole, or just hang on the beach.
