The Future of Race Signup: BibRave

At Events.com, we’re pretty passionate about endurance sports. We’re on the move and looking for the latest tech and tips we can share. Today we’re talking about BibRave. Founded by avid runners Jessica and Tim Murphy, BibRave was born out of their desire to separate the good races from the bad races, before they shelled out money for registration fees and travel. So, they combined their backgrounds in web programming and digital media to create an enthusiastic online running community that allows runners to research, recommend, and leave feedback on races. Many race organizers know bloggers and social influencers are essential tools to promoting their events; they just don’t have the time or resources to utilize their full potential. BibRave fills that need through two key components:

  • #BibChat – Held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. (PST), this fun Twitter chat drives brand awareness and purchasing decisions.
  • BibRave Pros – Comprised of 50 running bloggers that help races by marketing their events on blogs and social media.

As Tim recently told Running USA, “In the running industry, especially from a marketing perspective, it’s crucial to stay current with trends, new tech, and running news. In order to provide the best service for our races and brands, we’re constantly thinking about what will come next in the running world, the most effective ways to reach runners, and what brands and races are changing to make their company stand out.” Would you try BibRave?

Now that you know the future of race reviewing, plan your next running event on Events.com and provide a memorable running experience any event goer will love.
